Amazon Bedrock Launches Managed Knowledge Base for Enhanced AI Applications

AWS Blog · 2026-06-17 · cloud

Amazon has introduced a Fully Managed Knowledge Base as part of its Amazon Bedrock service. This new feature aims to simplify the creation of enterprise retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines. It includes native data connectors that facilitate automatic preparation of data across multiple formats, which is designed to enhance efficiency in data handling.

Additionally, the Managed Knowledge Base incorporates Smart Parsing technology, allowing for seamless data integration. It also features an Agentic Retriever that can handle complex multi-step queries, making it easier for developers to retrieve relevant information. This functionality is integrated with the AgentCore Gateway, enabling developers to concentrate on achieving business outcomes rather than managing underlying infrastructure.

Why it matters for certification candidates

This development is significant for those pursuing IT certifications, especially in cloud services and AI, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Machine Learning. Understanding these advancements can enhance skills relevant to these certification tracks and improve practical knowledge in deploying AI solutions.
